What Causes Sciatic Nerve Pain
The sciatic nerve consists the L4-S2 never roots. Sciatica is a medical condition of pain going down the leg from the lower back. Below are the main causes of sciatica.
1. Spinal disc herniation
About 90% of the time sciatica is due to a spinal disc herniation pressing on one of the lumbar or sacral nerve roots. it wil be accompanied by lumbar muscle spasm, limited lambar motion, ets. The intervertebral disc herniated parts may have obvious tenderness and radiation pain.
2. Spinal stenosis
The Sciatica caused by lumbar spinal stenosis is very often. Which is the condition of spinal canal narrows and compresses the spinal cord, or sciatic nerve roots.
3. Internal organs diseases
Some Sciatica is due to internal organs diseases. Such as the infection of the uterus and its attachments. The tumors can cause pain in the lumbosacral region. And this kind patients is often accompanied by the corresponding gynecological symptoms.
4. Rickets

1. Rest

3. Manipulation

4. Surgery
Surgery may be required if complications occur such as bowel or bladder problems.
